Privacy Policy

Skryf · Last updated 9 September 2026

Skryf collects nothing. It has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts and no servers. It contains no networking code at all, so it cannot send your writing — or anything else — anywhere. What you write stays on your iPad, and in your own iCloud if you choose to turn that on.

Who we are

Skryf is made by Launchround Inc. If you have a question about privacy, email support@launchround.com.

What we collect

Nothing at all. We do not collect, receive, transmit or store any personal data. There is no server for the app to talk to, and no code in the app capable of contacting one.

What is stored on your iPad

• Your writing — kept as a single document inside the app's own storage.
• Your settings — pen thickness, whether the writing sound is on, whether iCloud is on, where you last were on the page, and whether you have seen the welcome card.

These stay on your device. We never see them.

iCloud

iCloud sync is optional and off until you switch it on in the menu. When it is on, your document is stored in your own iCloud account using Apple's iCloud Documents. It goes to Apple, never to us — we have no access to it and no way to read it. Apple's handling of it is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Turning iCloud off moves the document back to your iPad.

Buying the app

Skryf is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the purchase, and we never see your payment details, your name or your email address — Apple does not pass them to us, and the app has no way to receive them. What we get from Apple is anonymous sales totals, which cannot identify anyone.

Third parties

There are none. Skryf contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party software kits of any kind. Nobody else receives anything, because nothing leaves your device.

The microphone

Skryf makes a pen-on-paper sound as you write. That sound is generated on your iPad from scratch — it is not a recording, and the microphone is never used. The app does not have, and does not ask for, microphone access.

Keeping and deleting your writing

Your document stays until you remove it. To take it out of iCloud, switch iCloud off in the menu. To remove everything, delete the app from your iPad.

Because we never hold a copy, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, and no request you need to make of us. You are welcome to email us with any question all the same.

Children

Skryf collects no information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date above. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect it to change often.
