Skryf is a handwriting app for iPad, made by Launchround Inc. It is bought once, it has no accounts, and it keeps your writing on your own device. These terms explain what you can expect from us, and what we cannot do for you.

Your licence to use Skryf

Skryf is distributed through the App Store, and your licence to use it is Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. That agreement governs the licence itself. This page sits alongside it and explains how we run the app; where the two disagree about licence terms, Apple's agreement wins.

Your writing belongs to you

Everything you write in Skryf is yours. We claim no ownership of it and no rights over it. We never receive it, so we could not use it even if we wanted to.

We cannot recover your work

This is the most important thing on this page. Skryf keeps your writing on your iPad, and in your own iCloud if you switch that on. We hold no copy of it. If your iPad is lost or damaged, or you delete the app while iCloud sync is off, your writing is gone and we have no way to bring it back. Please keep your own backups of anything you would be sorry to lose.

iCloud

iCloud sync is optional and off unless you turn it on. It uses your own iCloud account and is provided by Apple, not by us. Its availability, reliability and storage limits are Apple's, and your use of it is subject to Apple's terms. We have no access to what is stored there and cannot fix problems with it.

Paying for Skryf

Skryf is a paid app, bought once from the App Store. There is no subscription, nothing further to buy inside it, and no account to create. The price is the one shown on the App Store for your country, and Apple may show it in your local currency.

Purchases and refunds

Apple sells Skryf, not us. Payment, receipts and refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of the App Store, and requests should go to Apple rather than to us — the quickest route is reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no access to your payment details at any point and cannot issue refunds ourselves. If something is wrong with the app, please still tell us at support@launchround.com so we can fix it.

The app is provided as it is

We have built Skryf carefully and we use it ourselves, but we cannot promise it will be free of faults, will suit a particular purpose, or will always be available. It is provided as it is, without warranties, to the extent the law where you live allows.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Launchround Inc. is not liable for lost writing, lost time, or other indirect or consequential loss arising from using Skryf. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by agreement — if your local law gives you protections, you keep them.

Using Skryf sensibly

Please do not attempt to break, decompile or misuse the app, and do not use it to do anything unlawful. There is no online service to abuse, so there is little more to say than that.

Support is provided by us, not by Apple, and is best reached at support@launchround.com. We answer when we can.

Privacy

Skryf collects nothing. The details are on the Privacy Policy.

Changes

These terms may change as the app changes. The current version always lives at this address, with the date shown above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware will hear any dispute. This does not affect any right you have to bring a claim in the country where you live, or any protection your local consumer law gives you that cannot be set aside by agreement.

If part of this does not hold

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
